I posted on here before that we got 3 pigs for Valentines Day named Ginny, Dobby, and Bellatrix. (Harry Potter characters) Well, we definitely picked the right name for Bellatrix because she is one EVIL pig.
She doesn't look evil like the real Bellartix does, but she is! She never lets Dobby and Ginny eat so we have to keep her away from the food bowl with a poker when they eat and she bit my mom! Yea, she wasn't to happy about that. So, we are thinking about getting rid of her, but my mom doesn't want to because then we will have to eat Dobby and we will only have one pig left :( So, we don't know yet but the point is.... she's a WITCH!
Literacy Day.
On Friday I volunteered at the school my Nana works at, which is something I get to do often because I'm homeschooled. :) She works in the Pre-K class and last week was literacy week in honor of Dr. Seuss day on Friday. The entire week they learned about Dr. Seuss and read some of his books. One day they even had green eggs and ham! Anyway, on Friday they had a special visitor.... The Cat in the Hat! ;) The Cat in the Hat came and read them a book and gave them some special stuff for their classroom.... a Cat in the Hat stuffed animal and a Dr. Seuss book SIGNED by the Cat in the Hat!
Couldn't really get a good picture of those kids on my iPhone! They don't sit still, that's for sure!
Ohh...... and I played with the photo booth props during lunch :D

Drive2Life: Being Safe in the Car.
Have you ever been in the passenger seat and been uncomfortable? What did you do? Did you just stay quiet or did you say something?
Sometimes it is hard to say something when you are under pressure, but if you go about it the right way it isn't so hard!
Let's think of two scenarios....
You are in the car with a friend and they are texting while driving. What do you do?
You are in the car with an adult, like you mom, and they are texting while driving. What do you do?
Most likely you would go about these two things different ways because teenagers and adults listen to things in different ways.
Here are some good ways to encourage a teenager to drive safely....
- Offer and Option: Offer a safe solution, like answering your friend's phone for them if they're driving.
- Use Humor: Make a joke- just be sure you safe-driving message gets across.
- Find a Friend: Get your friends on board with supporting safe driving and speak up together.
- Just ask: Make it simple- ask the driver to drive safely and tell them they should concentrate.
- State a fact: Give a safe solution to your concern, and then back it up with a fact about distracted driving.
